We're here to welcome you. Questions about our Hispanic Presbyterian community in Golden Hill? We'd love to connect.
Our Partnership with New Day Urban Ministries
For over two decades, Iglesia Presbiteriana Hispana has walked alongside New Day Urban Ministries, united in a mission to serve and uplift our Golden Hill neighbors. This partnership, established in 2001, is a cornerstone of our commitment to faith in action.
Programs & Support
We actively support and participate in vital community programs, including weekly food distribution drives, seasonal holiday meal services, and offering our space for counseling and support groups that address local needs.
Shared Goals & Impact
Our shared goal is to provide not just immediate relief but lasting hope. Together, we focus on building relationships, addressing food insecurity, and offering a supportive community network for families and individuals in Golden Hill.
Long-Term Commitment
This is more than a program; it's a long-term commitment to our neighborhood. From organizing community events like Día de Muertos celebrations to providing consistent volunteer support, our partnership reflects a deep, sustained investment in the well-being of San Diego.
"A partnership built on faith, service, and community since 2001."
Stories of Real Change
For over two decades, our partnerships have created tangible, positive impact in the Golden Hill community. Here are a few examples of faith in action.
Building Futures with Reality Changers
Our long-standing partnership has supported dozens of local youth through academic tutoring, college preparation, and mentorship. One recent graduate, a first-generation student, is now attending San Diego State University with a full scholarship.
Neighborhood Renewal with New Day Urban Ministries
Through collaborative food distribution events and neighborhood clean-up initiatives, we've helped address food insecurity and fostered a greater sense of pride and care for our shared spaces in Golden Hill.
Looking Ahead: Our Future Outreach
- Expanding our family support workshops in Spanish for new parents and caregivers.
- Launching a community garden project to promote sustainability and connection.
- Strengthening partnerships to provide more resources for seniors in our neighborhood.
